We chose go-karts and it was a ride!
Yes, this is what our teambuildings look like too: an amazing atmosphere full of excitement and the smell of burnt rubber. This time we went for electric go-karts, after all we move with the times. The tension before the race was really thick. We split into teams, chose nicknames, put on helmets and off we went! The first group got into the karts, each with the determination to win. Skids, speed, hard corners, the ideal line and a few crashes had our hands shaking and our adrenaline pumping after the very first lap. After two laps the 8 best were selected, who made it into the final ride. We managed to persuade the operator to switch on full power for us, of course on the condition that we would not crash into each other… The final was the longest. And no wonder, since we got a double dose of time. In the last laps we had our work cut out just to catch our breath.
Miro, our boss, pulled out trophies from who knows where, and the three best were already heading to the winners’ podium. Third place went to Denis, who is something of a grey eminence of CDESK, because few people see him, but without him the customer servers would hardly work. Second was Gorazd Tomáš – Tomáš is the surname, just so everyone knows, he has an eternal problem with that, but luckily he has no problem achieving great times and results. Those of you who have CM from us surely know him well, because just like Denis, Gorazd works with servers. And finally the winner! First place was claimed by Samo, who showed that on go-karts he is even faster than at programming. The trophies were presented by our charming colleague Julka. We crowned this adrenaline-filled experience, where everyone tried for the best time, how else, with a beer… We all thank Miro for preparing an amazing evening for us. And the winners too, but we are already looking forward to the rematch!
